Physical Description: 5ft11, short dark brown hair and chestnut brown eyes. Seth has a tanned, weathered appearance, is often unshaven and possibly hung over. He prefers simple clothes along the lines of black suits, black vests, white tanks and black shoes. He also has a large black ink tattoo of fire that starts at his neck and goes down most of his left arm.
Personality: At heart Seth is a complete scoundrel who will do anything to keep himself or the one person he loved, his brother Richie, alive. Now that Richie is dead, Seth only has himself to look out for but he is more than capable of doing that. Seth is the thinker in the family, the more responsible one out of the Gecko brothers who is a firm believer in doing what you have to in order to survive...as long as it doesn’t require too much work. He isn’t lazy but rather impatient, wanting the quick fix to life and his problems which is why stealing appealed to him.
He borders on anger problems and is often violent but Seth at least tries to control himself and keep a level head, unlike his brother. A realist, Seth accepts that the world is a shitty place and is less likely to judge others, figuring that since he’s such a bastard, who is he to throw stones? Yet, Seth does has a twisted sense of morals and will not hurt others if he doesn’t have to, especially not women. He also has a sarcastic sense of humor and likes drinking just a little too much.
Strong points/Skills: He is a thief and not only that, he is usually a good thief who knows how to pick locks, break and enter and can be quiet when he has to be. Seth also knows how to use a gun, his preferred weapon being a .44 Magnum revolver but he also uses a Browning Hi-Power semi-automatic. He is strong for a man of his height and weight and knows how to handle himself in a fight though he has no martial arts or technical training. Seth’s method is to use what ya got and hit ‘em till they stay down.
As a person, he can keep a cool head in stressful situations and has a good survivor mentality. After a recent encounter with vampires in Mexico, Seth knows a thing or two about vampires, mainly that they exist. He would be able to fight vampires similar to the ones he has dealt with.
Weaknesses: Seth can be clever but he is not exactly smart and makes stupid decisions out of anger, impatience and in the past, out love for his family. While Seth knows about vampires, he assumes that all vampires are like the ones he has dealt with which is not the case in Nottingham. He knows absolutely nothing about witches or werewolves and will be unprepared for them. His cynical and untrustworthy nature will keep him from making friends or allies as not only does he not trust people, he defiantly gives off the air of being untrustworthy himself. At last, Seth is a human and be hurt or killed just as any other human.
Biography: Seth Gecko’s life can be described in two words: Fucked up. Born into a lower class Kentucky family, Seth was the oldest son of the Gecko family. He spent most of his life looking out for his younger brother from their abusive father and got into trouble at young age when he started stealing and fighting. After a few arrests but no charges, Seth skipped town at 17 with his younger brother in tow, the pair starting their life of crime together. A career that wasn’t always so successful as Seth ended up in the slammer more than once in the next 18 years and even made the mistake of getting married once to another ball and chain.
When he was 35 and serving a 22 year sentence for an armed robbery and manslaughter, Seth managed to escape going back to prison when Richie attempted a daylight escape during Seth’s parole hearing. They quickly went for their next big score that involved them kidnapping a helpless woman named Gloria (who Richie later killed) before they kidnapped the Fuller family and trying to make their way across the border.
Heading to a dive called the Titty Twister, the brothers and their hostages await the arriving of the brothers Mexican contact Carlos but shortly after arriving things go sour when the brothers start a fight with the workers and it is quickly revealed that the bar is not all that is seems when everyone working there turns out to be vampires. The Gecko’s and Fullers fight the vampires and attempt to survive but quickly the vampires pick off the family members, killing Richie, Jacob and Scott. Kate Fuller and Seth are the only pair that manage to survive by shooting holes in the wall and escaping to the sunlight as the day breaks.
Before awakening in Oscura, Seth remembers giving Kate a cut of his money and telling her to take off as dragging her into his world would only fuck her up more.
